Released on Nov. 26, 2025, “Zootopia 2” continues the beloved story of partners Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they embark on a journey that will determine the fate of Zootopia forever.
Ever since they were little, the two have had dreams to change the world and defy the odds by becoming what no one expected, and in the first Zootopia movie, they do just that. The pair joins together to solve a mystery, and soon Nick becomes a police officer alongside Judy at the Zootopia Police Department. However, in “Zootopia 2,” questions arise about their ability to work together as a team, and they must test their partnership by tackling a difficult case.
They begin by investigating mysterious events involving a reptile named Gary Le’Snake, who is seen as a threat to the city. However, after Judy and Nick discover a conspiracy concerning the powerful Lynxley family, they learn that the reptiles are not who society framed them to be. The partners quickly go undercover, trying to find out the truth about Zootopia’s origin, prove to the rest of Zootopia that the reptiles are just as important as everyone else and help Gary and his family back to their home in the city, while also finding a few new friends along the way.
However, Nick and Judy are struggling to work together, and this case tests both their friendship and partnership. The two must confront childhood traumas and learn how to be honest with each other in order to look past their differences and grow as a team.
Caroline McCoy (11) watched “Zootopia 2” and enjoyed the ups, downs and everything in between.
“I thought it was really good, and one of the best sequels I’ve seen in a while. I think it did a fantastic job of following up on the first one and continuing the story,” McCoy said.
This iconic raw emotion made “Zootopia 2” Hollywood’s highest-grossing animated film ever, and it was nominated for many awards at the Golden Globes, Annie Awards, Visual Effects Society Awards, Producers Guild of America, Critics’ Choice Awards and won Best Animated Movie for the Rotten Tomatoes Golden Tomato Awards.
The making of this movie depended wildly on its cast, and actors Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster and Andy Samberg voice these characters that are filled with depth and embody their roles to the finest.
Kenny Le (11) watched “Zootopia 2” and enjoyed hearing Patrick Warburton’s iconic voice as Brian Winddancer, the mayor of Zootopia, in this movie.
“I loved every time Brian Winddancer would speak. His voice actor also voices Joe Swanson from Family Guy. Just thinking about Joe being a horse makes me want to laugh,” Le said.
“Zootopia 2” is a movie filled with love and laughter and is perfect for all ages. Jared Bush, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, co-wrote and directed the film and encourages everyone to re-immerse themselves into the world of Zootopia alongside Nick and Judy.
“In 100 years, it’s our most ambitious film that we’ve ever created at Disney Animation. And it is the most immersive environment you can imagine; the cinematography takes you to places we have never put on screen before. But, more than that, it is filled with absolute joy,” Bush said.
