After four long years of waiting, Harry Styles fans are ready for a new album, and their wish has been granted. The British pop star released his newest album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” on March 6, 2026. Between unconventional ideas and new hobbies, Styles has become one of the most loved singers of this generation.
KK Darby (11) became of fan in 2020 and hopes for more of his music and tours in the future.
“I love how Harry Styles writes his music, and how poetic he is when writing his lyrics. I found him listening to YouTube during COVID. I hope he continues to release more music, go on tour, preferably closer to South Carolina, and grow as an artist,” Darby said.
With the help from streaming services, social media and radios, the variety of music one can listen to is endless. While making music can be easy and entertaining, getting discovered with through music is not. Styles was an exception to this normality. Growing up in Chesire, England, Styles enjoyed singing to his family with their karaoke machine and later worked at a local bakery store. When he was 16 years old, Styles decided to go on the British talent show, “The X Factor,” to show off his singing skills. While outsiders thought the performance was a shot in the dark, Simon Cowell, a judge for “The X Factor” and record executive, saw his potential. After reviewing more contestants, Cowell decided to bring together Styles and four other boys to form a boy band called One Direction.
The band was active until 2016, and the artists went on their separate ways to pursue solo careers. Styles produced his self-titled, debut album in 2017, marking his independence. The album was inspired by the rock-pop scene of the 1970s. Styles went more in depth with projects, similar to those he was working on when producing with One Direction. Single “Sign of the Times” showed off Styles’ piano and vocal skills he was not able to focus on earlier. The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts in just under 19 minutes, according to valpotorch.com. The album’s success and variety encouraged its growth and is a good starting point for new listeners.
Two years later, Styles released his second studio album, “Fine Line,” and announced tour dates for his “Love on Tour;” though, due to Covid-19, the tour was delayed until 2021. “Fine Line” embodied more ballads and pop sounds than the previous album. Hit songs “Lights Up,” “Adore You” and “Golden” gave opportunities for listeners to dance while the latter end of the album, including songs “Falling,” “Fine Line” and “Cherry,” allowed listeners to self-reflect. Styles’ tour continued until 2023, combining the “Fine Line” era with his third studio album, “Harry’s House.”
During an interview with Brittany Broski, a famous YouTube influencer, Styles expressed that he enjoys his fans’ honesty and acknowledges the fans are a big part of why the concerts are so special.
“I think they are the most honest group of fans. They are just people who love the things that they love. A lot of the time saying that you love something makes you vulnerable. The fans that I have experienced are just so willing to do what is very generous,” Styles said. “Their opinion can be cast aside a lot of times, but it’s the fact they wear their heart on their sleeve. They are the most honest, so for me, it’s about remaining honest and my response to that.”
“Harry’s House” is a balance between soft friendliness and deeper yearning that’s woven into the sounds and lyrics, according to pitchfork.com. The warm colors of the album cover represent the connected and heartfelt message Styles want to preach. The living room set up allows listeners to come into Styles’ mind and home compared to the harsh colors of the “Fine Line” album cover that mirrors the pop sounds. “Matilda” stood out across listeners for the conveyed message that Styles would be guide, comforter or escape for those who are struggling in their lives. Once the “Love on Tour” shows ended, Styles went on an unannounced hiatus.
While Styles’ self-care brand, Pleasing, was still active, no one knew when new music would be coming because of his lack of activity on social media platforms. Though, during the wait, Styles was spotted running multiple marathons, leading fans to wonder if he was done producing music for good. On Jan. 15, 2026, Styles announced he was developing a new album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” that would be released on March 6, 2026. After its release, the album is attracting many listeners for the event they have been waiting for. Songs “Aperture,” “Pop” and “Dance No More” revealed a new disco, electronic sound while songs “Paint By Numbers,” “Coming Up Roses” and “The Waiting Game” worked with the familiarity from his past works. According to officialcharts.com, the album has already reached the No. 1 spot for top album in the United Kingdom in just three days since its release.
Wade Neely (12) heard of Styles during his time with One Direction and has loosely followed his career since.
“I heard of Harry through One Direction, hearing the songs ‘Story of My Life’ and ‘Night Changes’ on the radio as a kid. I have heard of his newer music here and there through social media,” Neely said.
Though whether a fan or not, Styles’ continuous message of sharing love to everyone is noticed throughout the world. Having a safe space to be yourself and dance is the exact environment Styles hopes to give everyone through his music and fan base. The future of his career looks to be hopeful, with many plans for the upcoming year.
